See with me I am obbsessive and I will download anything free the Dead gives away. I downloaded the 1st 30 days of Dead and I listen to it in its entirety occasionally because it is such a differnt run of songs that you would never here played together in a show and while I did not enjoy all the songs on the 1st one I did enjoy listening to differnt eras and different songs in a random order. I guess i could just do the same thing with all my dead boards but that would be a ton of listening and maybe not all the randomness. I have been downlaoding the 2nd 30 days of dead too and I will give that a listen once the whole thing is done. I guess for me it is more obsessivness of "You can never have too much Dead" than anything else. My wife thinks I am a lunatic when it comes to this band as do my kids and they are probably right but WTF, I gave up most of my vices when I got married and had kids except for some beer drinking now and then, so i guess I replaced all those vices with collecting The Dead, it keeps me out of trouble and at home! Hahahahaha.

On another note anyone catching the Allman's this week in Boston, my wife and I are going Friday Night? Can't wait. love Warren and Derek together with Jaimoe, Butch, Mark, Oteil and Greg. Pissed though that they are doing The Fillmore East tonight and Eat A Peach tomorrow. Anyone see the shows at the Tower? Just wondering how they were!

interesting. I'm too disorganized with my CD's. I can't even keep labelled stuff straight half the time. My kids ALL think I'm obsessed. In fact my son was laughing as he looked at all my cases of labelled CD's just this very morning. He's kinder than the others. He just thought it was interesting how they were all labelled and wondered how long it took.

As for my wife, bless her. For someone who is not a Dead Head she REALLY gets and supports my passion. She even puts up with me playing more Dead than she cares to listen to. But being with me has definitely heightened her respect for the band immensely so naturally I love her all the more for that.

I am also obsessively organized in my external drive with shows listed by year and cover art. My wife is really good with it as well, hell we drove to fla this past summer and she endured the fall 72 run! Got my 4 year old hooked a little as well! My wife is more into the black crowds and the allmans she does have a fondness for the dead when I met her 15 yrs ago she was into dance music so I guess I have turned her into a small dead head!
